IDB to improve transport connectivity in the Atlantic Coast in Nicaragua

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) approved a $61.5 million loan for Nicaragua to improve the quality of transportation services and the country’s national and international integration. The main objectives of the project are to improve road access to the South Atlantic Autonomous Region (RAAS) and to reduce travel times and transportation costs of freight and passengers along the Gateada -Naciones Unidas-Bluefields corridor.
