Latin America Seeks Ways to Add Value to Exports to China
Latin American countries need to consider ways of adding value to their exports to China even as they seek to attract greater investment from the Asian giant in pursuit of a more mature and equitable economic relationship. That vision, outlined earlier this year by Chinese President Xi Jinping, was widely shared at Friday’s opening of the Eighth China-Latin America-Caribbean Business Summit in Changsha, although many participants cautioned that progress would be slow.
